The Original shipbuilding slipway

It was low tide today , so managed to get a photo of what is meant to be the remains of the very first slipway before the permanent ones were built 

The two straight structure’s going into the water in the middle of the picture.

If you stand in front of commissioners House and face the river it would have been in front of you

Going towards where the Queen’s stairs are

Fell out of use when the permanent slipway’s were built in the 1700’s
